Description
What is HRV?
The HRV (heart rate variability) is the amount of fluctuation in the length of the intervals between heartbeats. Reduced HRV mainly means that the heart rate is monotonically regular. In addition, it also indicates decreased autonomic nervous system function for regulating the body, for maintaining homeostasis, dealing with the internal and external stressors (factors that cause stress), and preventing disease or recovery within a normal time frame.
Because the heart rhythm fluctuation is a consequence of baroreflex modulation, respiration (sinus rhythm), thermoregulation and the circadian biorhythm, the purity of the signals is very important to maintain clinical precision.
What is APG?
The APG (Accelerated Pletyshmograph) waveform is a measure of arterial elasticity, vascular stiffness, and the rate of aging of the blood vessels.
